  Re: Myrmidon Class Starfighter

(...) LeoCAD has been around for quite awhile, which will output LDraw files. There's MLCAD, of which not much has been said; at least around here. Maybe there's more about this package on RTL? Also, LDAO has two editors. One is the Modeler, it's (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: MKOC - A new kind of building

(...) If I understand correctly, Ralph is mainly speaking to parents who have kids who play and build, not so much to the kids themselves. And I think he means children. While I like the fact that by themselves more kids are posting their creations, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) I think Ralphs means models by KOAFOLs (kids of AFOLs). That is, an adult LEGO fan who has models up, but who also has pictures of their kids' models up as well. --Todd (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Pics of Dutch railways models

Eric, Once again, very nice. I was looking at the directions for making the Hondekop train to figure out how you made the "doors", but the directions do not reveal how you made the door look like two slinding doors. How did you split the window ? Is (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

(...) Um, who would you classify as a "kid?" I mean, what age. I think more "kids'" creations are already on the net than you may think :) Greg "I'm so hip I can hardly see over my pelvis!" Majewski citrusx__@yahoo.com (URL)Cheers, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

MKOC - A new kind of building

I've been part of this group for a few years now and I would like to say what a pleasure it has been discussing LEGO stuff with all of the knowledgable and friendly folks here. A special thanks should go out to Todd since he has really created an (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Myrmidon Class Starfighter

Thanks for your praise guys! Don'tcha love it when all the right parts fall together? It is a Photoshop post-processed scene, as I'm not fluent in POVray like that, though I'd love a crash course in how to do stuff like that with POV. -Tom McD. when (...)   RE: Myrmidon Class Starfighter

(...) YES!!! Great model in that the scale is just right for kids to deal with. Not like that amazing, but incredibly large, Millenium Falcon. OK, then I would say it's an absolutely, possitively, 200% way cool model with a 10/10 wicked stunning presentation. -John Van Terry K <legoverse@geocities.com> wrote in message news:37b3a891.245438...net.com... How understated, John. I would say it is an outstanding model with a gorgeous presentation. The space scene is a stunner. Any post-processing there, or is that direct POV output? -- Terry K -- (...)   Making things jump

Hello, I am attempting to make a Super Car-ish Grasshopper (The thing from Twisted Metal, not the insect). I really want it to be functionable. I have already got a transmission down, as well as firing missile launchers. Now, if I only knew how to (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Invitation to my new train site

Nice work. That is a very simple solution to the decoupling problem. Most other attempts (add this is what I was thinking of doing) pry the cars appart. Does your decoupler work reliably even with lightweight cars; for example, empty flat bed cars? (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)
