Re: lego MOC: posable female figure

ooh la la, I think some cad renderings or an animation are in order(if you have the time) chris (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Heh. Ah dang, okay, I'll work on that. ;-) (...) Thanks. (...) Yeah, maybe having them the other way around would look good on this mecha too. (...) Again, yeah, I could have made it larger. It's one of those anime mecha style issues. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

Gad Mladen, well done. (what else can be said really, you rock on this one.) But one criticism, don't you think you got too many studs showing??? lol Chain guns at the hips: way cool, remind me of something off an Apache. Missle racks: big and beefy (...)   Re: Town Building Contest: voter registration now open

(...) You got most of the buildings that I noticed were in the wrong category, but the Municipal Garage (E009) might still be in the wrong one... I'm not sure. The main part of the building is under 32, but if the attached office and all the other (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: lego MOC: posable female figure

Wow! The variety of poses you can reach is amazing. I think the legs are a little out of proportion to the rest, but that's my only complaint. Bruce (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Is Lego Going Downhill?

(...) Generally speaking, I think Lego is making a big comeback. But they are also making a wider range of products. You don't like Jack Stone? Bionicle? Fine- spend your money on a Metroliner or Blacksmith's Shop. Spend it on Star Wars. Spend it on (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: lego MOC: posable female figure

(...) are very "human-like" too. Did you get someone to pose & then copy the pose to the figure? BTW, the page doesn't work in Netscape 4.6 - the sub-directory slashes in your <MAP> sections are the wrong way round. ROSCO (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Is Lego Going Downhill?

(...) That statement is right up there with: "If man were meant to fly, he'd have been born with wings." I think you are being very short-sighted here. IMO LEGO is just finally starting to reach its potential (the Golden Age of LEGO is *NOW*) Sure, (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: lego MOC: posable female figure

(...) Excellent work! I would never have thought such flexibility/posability was possible. Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Is Lego Going Downhill?

(...) I keep all my thoughts on the current situation right here: (URL) for the lack of new themes? This is a good thing. Part of the recent problems has been the incredible deluge of themes. At one time in the last year, the LEGO site listed no (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

(...) ALPHONSE!!! That's Noa piloting him. WOW!!! This is the most exciting mech I have seen in a while. Mostly because Patlabor is my favorite anime. And this labor is so well constructed. Jude This made my day. 8^) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  lego MOC: posable female figure

I originally posted the link to my latest MOC in build.mecha, but since it's not strictly speaking, a mecha, I thought I'd let some non-mecha-heads see it, and post here. The model is a 20" tall posable female figure built using building techniques (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build) !!

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

Boy am I a slowpoke... [nah, just extremely busy] Where to begin... WOW! Patlabor is my favourite anime of all time, and Gla Gla certainly did justice to the beautiful Ingram design found in the shows and the two movies. Dang... He even managed to (...)   Re: New Female Mecha

Probably I won't have any details or instructions, you'll just have to study the photos. I didn't use any ball joints, or thowbot/bionicle parts. All multi axis joints are using the part I call the hinged technic peg. You can see that part pretty (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Female Mecha

I set the proportions for an anime/comic book figure, not necessarily reality, though I think she has a decent hourglass figure as is. I think there are a couple of proportion problems, in that the feet are a bit too large as compared to the head, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Female Mecha

Thanks to all for the compliments, I'm glad everyone seems to like this model so well. I personally found it very enjoyable to build and am really satisfied with the results. As mentioned, I intend to build on this design for some future projects. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
