I think you are being very short-sighted here.  IMO LEGO is just finally
starting to reach its potential (the Golden Age of LEGO is *NOW*)

Sure, some sets are cool right now, some are lame. The custom
minifigures was a great idea, but they stopped. Holy shiznik, TLG it's
starting to lose the nostalgic feel that it always had. Then again, maybe
I'm just older and losing interest...

bothering me about the line so far...

NO... NEW... THEMES. Yeah. We have no new themes for 2002. Just
continuations of the previous lines. I think Lego is running out of ideas.

???  Personally, I think they've got *too* many ideas.  Nothing new for 2002?
How about a little Galador, scarecrow?? ;-)

What are your thoughts on the current situation?

It's the best time *ever* to be an AFOL.  LEGO going down hill? Yeah, like Franz

(...) Generally speaking, I think Lego is making a big comeback. But they are also making a wider range of products. You don't like Jack Stone? Bionicle? Fine- spend your money on a Metroliner or Blacksmith's Shop. Spend it on Star Wars. Spend it on (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)
