  Recent Mecha Thoughts

Having been busy with BricksWest, I haven't had a chance to be very active here, let alone the rest of LUGNET (or build anything new, for that matter). I just wanted to tip my hat to some of the wonderful creations that have been introduced here (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Gomgile; The GG Mech, a Grey - Green Biomechanoid.

Eric, I am going to miss seeing the GG take shape over the next six months.. how long was it, exactly, from gestation to creation? You could have honestly just left it at the head and it would be an amazing achievement. Then the torso, arms, feet, (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: New MOC: "Ranger" Dual-Role Mecha

(...) ... I am running out of superlatives, Mladen! This is another beautiful addition to your arsenal. I like the subdued colour scheme-- it would suit nighttime operations very well. And although adorned with your usual attention to detail, the (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Marder III Ausf M (Sd.Kfz. 138)

(...) Tosiaka, What an excellent model. Marder's and other tank destroyers/assault guns are too underrepresented in Lego MOCs, it is nice to see one. I stock up on them in Panzer General for cheap, effective units. Thanks, George (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Marder III Ausf M (Sd.Kfz. 138)

(...) Beautiful! If I saw it in stores, I'd buy it instantly. Very good rendition in such a small package! Take care, Gary (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: 20 answers (Building, ideas, supplies)

(...) Hi Brett, Another Rochester AFOL? Wow, that's at least two of us. If I ever come across any blu tubs, I will let you know. I'd suggest dividing the city up into fiefdoms for clearance bargain hunting, but I'm trying very hard to stay on a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Let the BT1 voting begin!!!

(...) I was wondering the same thing. I noticed that some of the models in competition with my own seem in a different class. Perhaps I placed mine in the wrong class, but I was basing it on the max number of pieces (so in my mind it qualifies). (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: GMC 6x6 2.5 Ton Truck

Nice work, shuan! A device is everywhere seen for tubes of the loading platform, front mask, fender, etc. Since "GMC 6x6 2.5 Ton Truck" was indispensable to WW2, I also want to make. However, since your work is wonderful, I'm satisfied. Tosiaki (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: GMC 6x6 2.5 Ton Truck

(...) <snip> Neat truck! (...) If you have to ask, it's impure. LOL. Put it another way... does it have a LEGO part number??? Didn't think so. However my standards have slacked a lot lately, I printed up signs on sticker paper for my ISCC entry. :-) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Rasputin's Turbocycle

(...) Hey, it matters not to me. As long as it spurs on creativity, do what you will :) I'd turn it into a contest, but they seem like too much work to run :) (...) That would be a cool looking MOC, I think. Hope to see it soon Adrian -- (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Rasputin's Turbocycle

  Marder III Ausf M (Sd.Kfz. 138)

A happy new year!>All My new work "Marder III" was registered into BrickShelf . (URL) model is M type although H type is popular in Marder3. Why I chose M type? That is because I wanted to make the model which has a battle room on the rear. (H (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: GMC 6x6 2.5 Ton Truck

(...) Hey Shaun- Nice work. One "trick" that I've found that works well is sticking regular housewire *into* the technic flex tubing-- that way, one can shape it to virtually any shape one wants and it holds. That way you could get a more (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Rules for the voting process of the 1. ISCC

(...) This is an added difficulty for voting. Making tube dinosaurs is an amazing creative use of lego pieces, most of all if they are made by a child. When I saw it first and had not read the story, I thought it was some kind of experimental (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Monthly MOC: Heinkel He-162A-2 (German WWII jet fighter)

(...) Very nice :) Looks like the Brictorian Army [1] will need to invest in AA weaponry...and probably build an Airforce :) [2], though the chances of them heading 'down under' probably aren't all that high. [1] Current strength 100-ish (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)
