The New mecha I...built, but can't load picture of

I have created a new mecha the pelvis section is only 1 stud wide. It looks awesome. I'm thinking of a name but won't ask for suggestions till you see what it looks like. If I got a dinky web cam, would I be able to take a good picture of it? (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) Not me, I have cut way way back and hardly ever get to the Detroit area any more... I've not been on a Detroit area project for more than a week or two in years... Now where's my coat, I heard a rumor that the GR Targets have started (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: all my mecha

about an hour after i posted i had this great idea to use the ball joints from the legs and arms of the old throw bots. normally i would never mutalate pieces like this but my dogs think they make great chew toys, anyway I just use them in (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

In lugnet.build.military, Lindsay Frederick Braun writes:> (...) LOL Very true! He did offer them up, but I had managed to snag roughly $200 in sales ($800 in value) already, so I had to pass.   Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

----- Original Message ----- From: "Maggie Cambron" <mcambron@pacbell.net> (...) I've checked out a couple local Targets and i'm getting the impression that the clearance around here won't be as good as it has been the last two years. :( The reason (...)   RE: Custom Ferrari

(...) The car looks good. I like all the working details. The solution for the A pillars around the windshield is interesting too. However, it still looks like a front engined car because of the large front end and because the cabin is pretty far (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) Yes, Lindsay (and Larry to an extent) is my Target-clearance nemesis. We have had turf battles in the past. He has an unfair advantage over me though. When he is in town, I think he is on holiday and can hit the stores each morning awaiting (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) Shame on you Richard N. If you had cross-posted to .shopping (which I have now graciously done) you would be more likely to get pointers from the real pro's. Luckily for you I happened to notice this post. Lindsay's right about being there (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: all my mecha

Welcome to LUGNET Jacob. Of course I am still generally a new name in mecha building here, new compared to builders like Mladen, but nonetheless I usually display my mecha here. About the reliable hip joints, that is something I have been (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) You think it's funny to hear? You should have *seen* it actually happen last year. Eric and I ran into each other at the same Target, same morning, the 75%-off-plus day. Now, there were lots of other folks who'd sniffed it out and were there (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Comments about ISCC

I will be off now for christmas, see you next year! Still, my final posting is about the ISCC, which I like the idea about. Since I can comment later, I would like to say: (URL) best.   Custom Ferrari

Hello. I have been working on my Ferrari again, and have updated it to version 5.0. This model started out in 1997 (believe it or not) and I have pretty much used the same chassis on all versions. This newest verion is based on the Ferrari F-40, a (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build)

  -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) That was really funny… "and we RUN with shopping carts at the ready" …and along the way you can set-up obstacles and counter-measures to restrain your opponent. I suggest the use of a ‘dead-fall’ trap to incapacitate your rival! ;) But, my (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: How's the submarine?

(...) Yes. You meet me at the door to Target at 8am on the annointed day, and we RUN with shopping carts at the ready to the toy aisles. :) LFB (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Merry Christmas from The Brick Testament

(...) @8^) I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure the analogy is entirely valid. If I were describing my honeymoon to other people, I probably would not use phrases like "and then I had intercourse with my wife". If I did, I think I could expect (...) (...) Heh. Well, keep us posted. (...) You haven't seen the giant Megabloks cutaway 'boomer?
