about an hour after i posted i had this great idea to use the ball joints
from the legs and arms of the old throw bots. normally i would never
mutalate pieces like this but my dogs think they make great chew toys,
anyway I just use them in conjuction with the 2x1 bricks with the
cross-hairs and the female partsthus the legs have stability and withe armor
I put on it is hardly noticable.

| (...) I really like the ball joints and my first mecha design. I used 6 per mecha. The mecha was small enough that a single ball joint was enough to hold the body up. but occasionly when the pose is extreme or too much off ballence weight is applied (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
