Re: How to build a special roof?

It looks like it might be both, Zhengrong. You'd need the arch for support, but the concave 45 provides the shape of the roof. That's what I thought you were after. I think that's why you are getting confusing answers from all of us, we aren't sure (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

(...) No, thanks to YOU. In my case, your contest was a reason to let the job be the job and having fun by building and modifying my entry. Viele Grüße, René www.1000steine.de/english.htm (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: How to build a special roof?

Hi Zhengrong, The key part to Dan's roof design is this one: (URL) there has ever been a 33 degree version of this part, I've never seen it and don't believe it exists (I'd but a ton of them if they did). There is a variety of this design you could (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: How to build a special roof?

Hi, Dan. Is it possible to use slope 33 to build such roof? I found most of your castle are built by slope 45. Thanks a lot Zhengrong (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Rotary Engine Help

(...) I believe the Audi/VW 5-cylinder engine is an inline 5. The later model Vanagons had it, and the earlier Eurovans. The newer Eurovans have a V6, IIRC. Or maybe it's an optional thing, where you can pick the engine when you buy the car. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: The Omega Project

(...) WOW!!! That ship has great design! Since I don't know *anything* about B5, I gotta ask a few questions. 1. Are the red circle missile tube covers/"lids"? 2. What kind of cannons does the ship use? Particle Accelerator? Laser? 3. Is the (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) I have several and I used them as pillars on a building. I haven't come up with another use yet. Basically, just use them as a brick. Well, they've arrived at last. As someone previously mentioned, they are quite plain, but at the same time quite charming.   Re: How to build a special roof?

Both Larry and Jacob are correct. All of the roof pieces are from 5151 Red Steep Slope Pieces, which are probably still available from Shop@Home. The arches serve as supports as the roof follows the steps of the arch bricks. These bricks are (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: How to build a special roof?

(...) This is a pic of an instance of Dan Siskind's Brickmania(tm) 002 Crossroads Tavern kit if I am not mistaken. (URL) Jacob is right. It IS "just some large half arches and 45 degree slope bricks". However they are put together in a pretty clever (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: How to build a special roof?

  Re: Rotary Engine Help

(...) In the Wankel engines, the cylinder is a shallow ellipse )maybe a circle) amd the piston is a triangular thing that revolves inside the cylinder. Due to the funky geometry between the cylinder and piston, you get intake, compression, power and (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
