Scott, Wow, I work there! (consultant for the University), but commute from Detroit's eastern suburbs (57 miles). Here's my net net on this discussion. The 2148/3442 (same design, different colors) design is flawed. A 2x2 turntable plate does not provide enough degrees of freedom. I've put 5 new models up on this page, and updated the TIE Prototype (Vader's fighter) after Jeremy pointed out a design error (Thanks!). I don't know what all the fuss is about...I heard that TLG is about to take Karim's designs and mold them as one piece specialty parts - sort of like Town Jr except for the more discerning Star Wars crowd... i think that the judge of wether a set is available should be the lego online catalog. if a set appears on either the US or European online catalogs it is a current set. also a set should be promotional if it is in huw millingtons promotional set (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)
