New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee —Bram Lambrecht
[OOC = Our Own Creation] Today Adrian Drake, Troy and Ken Cefaratti, Gino Melone and I got together at Adrian's house for a building session. Upon seeing my Mercury, Adrian reiterated his desire to build his own car, a Jeep Cherokee, sometime. Since (...)      That is so great guys! wow it looks so good! And all the details, plus e the unussual way the parts go together. All around solid job, wow, Definetly a great job. Mmmmmhhhhhhmmmmmm...... Legomaster (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

        Mine's Snottier —Steven Lane
(...) Great model Bram (and team), you've got the looks just right but I wouldn't describe it as having an abundance of snot more an absence of it. This groups probably tired of my bulldozer by now but it's totaly embraced the snot concept. (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

         Re: Mine's Snottier —Adrian Drake
(...) The trim is upsidedown for two reasons. The trapezoidal wheel arches look much better that way (as I only have inverse tall slopes in black) and in order to get the look of the grill right, the headlights are upside-down, so in order to secure (...)          Re: Mine's Snottier —Adrian Drake
(...) The entire front and rear ends are snotted. It doesn't show, but grill has bricks going on all sorts of strange directions. Just because the roof's on studs up doesn't mean there's lots underneath that isn't. It's just well hidden :) Adrian (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee —Fredrik Glöckner
The model is very well done! The things I like about it are too many to mention, so I hope you are not offended if I mention the things I don't like. I think the chassis is too tall. The real thing doesn't have that much suspension, right? Besides, (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee —Adrian Drake
(...) WHAT? You dare criticize Bram and Me? Why this will start a flame war of epic proportions!!! (j/k) Criticism is just fine. Keep in mind, though that we built this in one day, so there are lots of things that could've been done differently if (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee —Shiri Dori
Hey guys, Awesome job, that is one cool car. I'm still trying to figure out at what points exactly does the chassis (upside down studs) meet the rest of the model (right side up studs). It's a real beauty, and I thought the black katanas as (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee —Bram Lambrecht

Wow! I love the attention to detail this OOC has! Lots of little touches like the radio and dashboard make this model really beautiful. And it appears motorized....aw man. Really well done! Joe (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Bram, you know it's frightening when you click on a thumbnail thinking it's either the real thing or a scale model kit used for reference, only to find out it's actually LEGO. How do you *do* that? Mark W. (22 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee —Adrian Drake
(...) In order to make the big wheels fit, I had to widen the steering arms from 10 studs to 12. The big tires would've hit the frame otherwise.
