I have fixed what I hope is all of the 'broken thumbnail' problems with the gallery. New uploads should not result in broken thumbnails under any circumstances. Broken file thumbnails can be fixed by issuing the 'reload' command from within the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce.brickshelf) !

Some people have been having problems staying logged in to the Brickshelf gallery. Like most websites, the gallery uses cookies to keep you logged in. There have been problems in the past with proxy servers (expecially with cable modem ISP's), and (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce.brickshelf) !

When I login, I can view my top level folder, but when I clcik one of sub folder, I was logouted and need to be login again, this will be repeated, so I can view any sub folders. I have changed the login state cookie on brickshelf to be persistant for 1-2 hours. That time is reset each time you view a gallery page. Over the past week I have been slowly migrating Brickshelf from one server to three much more capable servers. The files have been moved to a SUN E450 with 1/2 TB raid, the database (mysql) has been moved to another E450 with 2G of ram. The next (...) (25 years ago, 2-Oct-01, to lugnet.announce.brickshelf) !

Along with my office and other servers, Brickshelf was moved to it's new home today at Minerva Networks in Chantilly, VA. The Brickshelf gallery now contains over 50,000 pictures uploaded by LEGO fans. The Gallery started as a place for me to upload pictures of the Mindfest(tm) event, and some MOC's.
