2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Chris Giddens
I picked up the gray and blue Red Planet Protector #7313 this weekend. They had the scorpion looking Mech and the Lego Studio set. They probably have more to put out, but they just haven't done it yet. So like the subject says... if it's here it's (...)      (...) Not here though...guess I will have to wait til May. (...) Doesn't stand well?...heck I can build a mech that can do that <g> (...) It appears from the catalog scans that the earth people are more militant...The martians don't seem to have any (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) Nope. I'm in Seattle, and we're generally the last to get any new set. I hope I'm wrong, however. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: 2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Matthew Teets
(...) Actually it stands fine, I had the same problems at first though. The legs are hinged horizontally to, spread the legs to a 45-90 degree angle from each other and you can spin the top around like a top and it won't fall over. (...) Nah, the (...)          Re: 2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Jason Fabisch
(...) At first I used the leg mounted fan/laser units as rear supports, as though it had four legs. Then I splayed the legs out and that works too. I love this set, I just wish they fixed two things. 1) Made the leg mounted fan things fasten on with (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: 2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Jonathan Mizner
(...) Interesting. It DOES say life on Mars. Does this mean it's life on Mars before colonization? Notice, though, that all the human sets are rovers and other "harmless" machines. With the exception of the Mono Jet and the laser mounted on it. To (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: 2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Bradley Dale
Life on Mars reminds me a bit of Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles, with the humans arriving and finding that a civilization already exists. (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) It appears that TRU in Columbus, OH (Sawmill Rd for those here in town) only has 7315 and 7316 so far. I didn't notice any other new stuff as yet. (xposted accordingly - I think..! <G>) Of a curious note to your oxygen deprived environment, (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

Re: 2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Jason Fabisch
(...) To me it means that there is currently life on Mars and here come the Earthlings to discover it. Not, "hey, what would Life on Mars be like if we were to move there?" Notice, though, that all the human sets are rovers and (...) Uh, yeah, I (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: 2001 In Rome, GA... If it's here it's everywhere.... —Jonathan Mizner
In lugnet.space, Jonathan Mizner writes: Good point about the hands. Lego never does try to be realistic. Why would an intersteller spaceship not have any enclosed spaces? Why do you never see mess halls, bathrooms, or sleeping quarters on their (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.space)
