Not sure where to post this...
I have recently completed vector graphic versions of the Octan logos, both
the text and the “yin-yang.”  Until they are moderated, here are some GIF
versions of the files:
Smaller (25kB) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=245062
Larger (62kB) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=245063
Once the files are moderated, you can find PostScript and Adobe Illustrator
versions of these logos in the folder
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jswilson/Octan/  (hope I got that right)…

They’re not 100% accurate (something about the “c” and the “t” that I need
to work on, and the opening in the “a” isn’t quite “oval” enough), and I
probably don’t have the colors exactly right, but I don’t have a decent
printer to try them out on.  But they’re pretty close.  I undertook this as
an exercise in learning Adobe Illustrator – I had never used it before I
started on this project.  I’ll post version 1.2 when/if I get them polished.

I give these logos to the LUGNET community for non-commercial use; I only
request that you give me credit if you use them on something that gets
published.

Hello James, Thanks for publishing these! (...) Seems the C is slightly too large. Other than that, close to perfect, I would say. Greetings Horst (22 years ago, 17-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) {snip] Looks good! I'm an expierenced Illustrator user and I know how difficult it is to draw smooth curves like that. Hats off! If I may you give some tips on typography: round letters (O,S,G, and the round parts of a,b,c etc) are a bit under (...) (22 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)
