Re: 5909 biplane modifications - need help with slanted struts

(...) Ah yes, the Hand of God Attacking the Biplane scene... ;-) (...) Just a thought, haven't tried it yet: On top of the bottom wing, fix a 1x1 brick with 5 studs (1), and attach a plate 1x2 with long towball (2) to one of the side studs, so that (...)   5909 biplane modifications - need help with slanted struts

About 1.5 years ago, Mindstorms brought me out of my dark age. My first non- Mindstorms creation was my two-seater modifications to the 5909 biplane. See (URL) for the pictures. As you can see from the pictures, I was trying to stage that gruesome (...) (25 years ago, 4-Apr-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build)

Re: A minifig pack for EVERY theme

(...) Just a quick plug for one of my favourite small sets -- 1271/5905. The Gail Storm face is pretty near generic: the clone factor (as id'ed by Shiri) is still a bit of a problem, but you can use those features nearly anywhere and they seem to (...) Hi, (...) I've adapted both to Pirates and to 1920s-1930s colonial seaports. It's surprising how well they work for this. (...) This is interesting--I hadn't thought of using the tile for the drum; I've used a 2x2 round plate. However, I use a (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Indiana Jones

(...) How odd that Han Solo looks like Indiana Jones. Hey! I just realized: I never see them together, in the same place at the same time. What could this mean? Steve "it must be quitting time, I'm getting loopy" Bliss (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: WW/Adv. cross-over (and a Tommy-Gun) -- was "Re: Future Wild West Possibilities"

(...) I was thinking of the same thing myself, but I thought that it would be a bit too big. I wish there were minifig head sized plates in various configurations to use. Rich -- Have Fun! C-Ya!   WW/Adv. cross-over (and a Tommy-Gun) -- was "Re: Future Wild West Possibilities"

[notice "follow-up"] (...) I've done this myself. I've got several WW figs that were originally Adv., and vice-versa. [snip] (...) [expression type="smirk"] Do tell...   Indiana Jones

I'm sure many of you have already done this, but take Han Solo head from the new Skiff, put it on Johnny Thunder's body, and once you've got his hat on his head and a whip & pistol in his hands, you have one smashing looking Indiana Jones! Kevin (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Palm tree leaves

I recently got an Adventurers set (the first one I've got) and it had a palm tree. Now, I used to collect Pirate Legos with a passion, and I noticed that the leaves on the palm trees were larger in the pirate days. These leaves were little bity (...)   Re: Log Walls needed

(...) I've ranted about wanting a foreign legion theme before. Return of the Soldiers! And tan colored castles would mark the return of the Crusader Knights! A can't miss scheme if I ever heard one! Kevin (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.dear-lego)

Other sets with tan (sand) log walls?

Anyone know the best set to find these in? I just bought another 5988 but I'm no where close to getting the number I need. Thanks in advance for any help, -Will (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers)
