In thinking about the future of wild west possibilities,
especially when combining WW with adventurers,
the possibilities really are cool.
The two time periods are the closest together of all the sets.

I've done this myself.

I've got several WW figs that were originally Adv.,
and vice-versa.

I've adapted both to Pirates and to 1920s-1930s colonial seaports.  It's
surprising how well they work for this.

Thinking ahead even further, you could set the time for the 1920's,
even 30's, and do a Chicago gangster theme.
...  Oh well, we would need a Tommy gun for the minifigs.

Do tell...  Why, yes, now that you ask,
I *have* made a tommy-gun for my minifigs.

Take a 2x2 round tile, a 1x1 plate w/ "vertical" clip,
and a rifle.  Clip the 1x1 "vert." to the barrel of the rifle
just in front of the receiver (i.e., as far back as possible
against the rectangular part of the rifle),
and then attach the 2x2 tile to the 1x1 "vert.".

This is interesting--I hadn't thought of using the tile for the drum;
I've used a 2x2 round plate.  However, I use a variation on that design
for WWI biplane machine guns:

1.-put down two 1x1 top-clip tiles on top of the upper wing, so that the
clips will hold two WW rifles pointing to the front of the aircraft.

2.-Take two more top-clip tiles, flip them over, and attach them to the
barrels at the point closest to the trigger of the gun.

3.-Finally, attach a 2x2 round plate in black, dkgrey, or grey
upside-down onto those upper clip tiles, with the "overhang" towards the
rear so that it covers the weapon's mechanism segment.

...and Voila!  instant double-barrel machineguns for your biplanes.  (I
use the same mount on ships for machine guns, except that's mounted on an
elevating and swiveling post.)

best

Lindsay
