  Re: "Mieling" the Ambassedor's ship

(...) and this one is a beauty! The sweeping of the bow is amazing, the whole shape is nice and smooth and very "un-LEGOish". My only criticism is the overwhelming amount of black, as Don and Nathan have pointed out. (...) Blue looks okay, but I (...)   Re: "Mieling" the Ambassedor's ship

(...) I like it. I always like medieval ship models though you rarely see them posted. Good work. Perhaps add some colour contrast... God Bless, Nathan (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: "Mieling" the Ambassedor's ship

(...) The blue looks ok, there is too much black anyway, drowns out the detail. The overall look of the ship is great. I really like it. Great idea, good construction. Close to a 'junk' style vesel. Keep up the good work, Hugh (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)

  "Mieling" the Ambassedor's ship

The jahmong ambassador is on his way to Sirob on the "Mieling". The black, single sailed ship cuts through the waves speeding to its destination. This is my first large scale, all brick ship hull (URL) am thinking about changing the canopy to black (...)   Re: Dagada Lautem Houses, 2nd Draft

(...) I was going to populate the huts, but I couldn't do it for 3 reasons. 1. I have only one pirate kit---Eldorado Fortress. 2. I have no islander figs. 3. The people who live there have dark skin, not yellow. Thanks. Cheers (*clink*) Dean (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Dagada Lautem Houses, 2nd Draft

Cool! You've got the basic feel of the huts down. Now, it would be cool if you made a proper village and populated them with islanders! :) -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.arch)

  Dagada Lautem Houses, 2nd Draft

Hi all, A very long time before I became a member of LUGNET, I built these Dagada Lautem houses. I got most of the idea first from a computer game, then from an Indonesian-style architecture book. One of the pictures in that folder is a shot from (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.arch)

  Proto MOC: Chinese Fishing Boat

Hi Everybody, This is just a small MOC I made after seeing several Chinese and Egyptian fishing boats made out of bamboo and reeds. The colors aren't perfect, but it gets the point across.   Re: Armored car dat file/render

(...) Hey, that's great! I can't believe no one has responded yet. Very cool use of the Adventurer's car-base. And an attractive rendering, too! Dave! (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Armored car dat file/render

Hi all, I've uploaded a dat file and render of the WWI-era armored car used in my ISCC entry: (URL) has been there a while). Hope you find it useful. Take care, Gary (22 years ago, 17-Mar-03, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

Re: My friend's newly built homepage

Hi Bruce, thanks for your reply. I will definitely told Yicke about that. I kind of remember we talked before in lugnet?   Re: MOC: Jahmong Shrine

(...) Actually, sitting down with it today, i was able to condense the corner beams and bring them closer inset by removing some excess bricks. The result is a much nicer, more integrated look. It really removes the "set on top of" look you (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: MOC: Jahmong Shrine

(...) Wow! Great architectual translation to Lego. Excellent use of fence pieces as screening--and those bug-eyed tigers/lions--dead on! Maybe the diagonal hip beams could be played around with or inset in the roof (as you say to "clean up the (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: MOC: Jahmong Shrine

(...) Hey Nick. That shrine is really cool. A very experimental roof that turned out pretty well, I think. The fences as screens is also quite nice. Question: Who's the yellow statue inside? You said Yen paid respects there.. is it an ancestral (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: MOC: Jahmong Shrine

  Re: MOC: Jahmong Shrine

(...) That's a cool little shrine; I especially like the fences-as-screens inside. As to cleaning up the roofline; if you can't get your hands on the right corner slopes, try just putting tile over the studs. thanks, James (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers)
