Re: New Dino Sets sighted - first scans!

(...) If you look at your summer catalog you'll see the yellow butterfly net also in 1465 Minnie's Birthday Party from the Disney line. John (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.promo)

Re: Amazon Jungle Sets in Germany / Europe

(...) Do you mean have I seen the sets here (Pittsburgh, PA, USA)? If that is what you mean, yep, I've seen pretty much all of the sets. I only own the blimp, the pontoon plane, and the small polybag set (5902), but the rest of the stuff is (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Dino Sets sighted - first scans!

(...) Hmmm... 5512 - is that the new Timmy-like minifig? Not sure if I like him all that much, but at least it'll be a refreshing variation. 5514 - what's that net piece? Haven't seen it anywhere... (then again, I haven't *pored* over the dino sets, (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.promo)

New Dino Sets sighted - first scans!

I was VERY surprised today to find new and so far unknown Dino sets in my local toy shop in Germany.... I made some scans, if you're interested please have a look at them: (URL) are similar to Kabaya promo sets and include also a booklet with (...)   Amazon Jungle Sets in Germany / Europe

Hi ! I have some problems getting the Amazon Jungle sets here in Germany. The 5956 "Expedition Balloon", which was in the German 1999 catalogue, was available in some stores. You can also get the small 5905 and 5906 sets, and some days ago I found (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Spruce Goose

Whoops accidently hit enter instead of tab on that last post sorry. Anyways I think the island hopper is the best set in the theme but I think a spruce goose would be way cooler. It could be made out of those 10x8 bow bricks that came from a seaport (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: I was really disappointed when I saw the dino sets......

Nick Cameron's Posts continue to leave me in stitches. .That new kid on their team looks guilty... While we are on parts, If anyone wants to sell me their rusted roof parts (from the research compound) Let me know (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: I was really disappointed when I saw the dino sets......

I have a good but strange explination for the double-color dinos. The gray-legged stegosaurus is really a young elaphant in a coustume. I mean look, the elaphant could keep his long nose in the tail and his tail in the head. And the triceratops is (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

I was really disappointed when I saw the dino sets......

Well, when I saw the S@H pics, I was heavily disappointed of both dinosaurs and entire sets. C'mon Lego, a grey Triceratops with white(?) legs ?? A brown Stegosaurus with white (!!) legs??? How crappy. At least I know now why they got extinct: they (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Adventurers Dino sets a let down?

(...) I think the dinosaurs are a letdown, and the sets (well, some of the sets) look kinda cool. A post-Edwardian retro cool, I suppose. Steve (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

(...) I knew it!! I knew Greg must have done it! :) Thanks to Greg and his post being the last before the outage his name is now perminantly burned into my Monitor. I will never forget how to spell "Majewski" again. Followups to lugnet.fun Eric (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.general, lugnet.fun)

  Re: Island Hopper

(...) I broke LUGNET. (...) island (...) Oh, and by the way, I forgot about a ton of vehicles here, please ignore this statement. In my opinion, though, a lot of the vehicles are very nice, excpet for the plane with the big compound and the boat (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

This is the last message I got from lugnet 33 hrs ago. What is wrong?? (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

Just to throw in my two cents... I think the Island hopper Airplane is one of the best overall models I have seen lately. It is a great model, with a strong resemlance to the real thing, and the colors only add to the effect. The construction is (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

You are forgeting a few vehicles though, the little hanglinder, the airplane that comes with the dino compound, the car that comes with the compound, the car that comes with the all terrain trapper, and the boat that comes with the T-rex (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Dinosaur Island vehicles

At $49.99, 5975 T-Rex Transport is a bit too expensive. Otherwise it is a cool vehicle set that keeps the tradition of the Adventurers theme. I like the tractor-trailer. The color scheme of its triceratops looks a lot nicer, too. 5935 Island Hopper (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

(...) Let's see what else it leaves, bedsides the ones you put: the little thing with blue wheels(5309), the plane and car in the big set, the semi, car, and ship in the t-rex transport, and the research glider. You seem to have forgot quite a few. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

(...) I'd say that in comparison to the Egyptian subtheme, it doesn't have as many good vehicles. Even the vehicles included in the med-big sets were good. Not a bad one in the bunch. Jon (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

Funny, I just purchased the Island Hopper also. Should be getting here today. I was attracted towards it because it'll go good with regular town sets if you remove the pterodactl. It *looks* pretty big also, esp. for only $20. (expensive, but IMO, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Island Hopper

(...) What does that leave? The All Terrain Trapper and that odd little helicopter thing? I wouldn't say that it didn't turn out that many good vehicles unless there are more bad than good :) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.adventurers)
