  Re: New LUGMap for LUGNET

(...) Actually, for clarity sake, it is both an online community and a real LUG, in fact, a number of times, 3 up to 8 of the members have participated live with each other in displays and competitions. That is more than some LUGs can say. Having (...) (19 years ago, 12-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: New LUGMap for LUGNET

(...) Hi Lenny, thank you very much for the explanation, I thought the same. That's why also Eurobricks, LUGNET itself and other Community Sites are missing on the maps. Leg Godt! Rene (19 years ago, 12-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: New LUGMap for LUGNET

(...) Is JLUG actually an in person LUG? I thought it was more of an online community, akin to Classic-Space, BZPower, FBTB, etc. The two admins, Janey and Ross, and in Canada and Australia respectively, and the membership is from accross the globe. (...) (19 years ago, 11-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: Member Link

(...) It's quasi-possible. When a post comes in via the web interface from a logged-in member, a little "MemberID" is tagged onto the post. Those should be pretty easy to translate. However, when posts come in from non-logged in members, or from (...) (20 years ago, 10-Oct-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Member Link

(...) I'd like to see this too. Or at least see the membership listings split into small chunks of say 100 names each rather than all 4000 on one page. Tim (20 years ago, 10-Oct-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Member Link

Would it be possible to make it so that the author name is a clickable link to the member's profile (if applicable)? There are many times when I would like to find out more about a person, or find their websites. I can search through the member (...) (20 years ago, 10-Oct-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: LEGO Recalls Duplo 3509 Brickbuster Super Truck

(...) In a related story, Irresponsible Parent Magazine is reporting that God has recalled children stating that some parents are found to be unable to supervise children properly. This recall is voluntary but the magazine states clearly that (...) (20 years ago, 29-Sep-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

LEGO Recalls Duplo 3509 Brickbuster Super Truck

Unable to post this to LEGO Company.Official LEGO Announcements, or even just .announce, but should be able to! WHERE do RECALL NOTICES go? Is there a Lugnet SAFETY or RECALL newsgroup?   Re: Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

(...) Hi Dave, all good points! (...) Now a tiny link next to the "submit" button leads newbies to Todd's explanation on how Highlighting works. Thanks for the hint! Leg Godt! Rene (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

(...) Hi Jake, though I think it's not necessary to change something just because it's eight years old, especially when working fine, I'm currently working over the markup language into xhtml1.1 in combination with css2. !!! Please note that this is (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

(...) Not concerns, but personally I'd like to see a full updating of the Web interface. Todd's original design worked fantastic, I think, but it's been up for what? 8 years? I think it's time to employ some modern interface design tactics! Jake --- (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

  Re: Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

(...) My guess would be that there are a number of reasons it is the way it is, although how likely they are intentional and of utmost importance, I can't say. 1) Making it be 3 mouse clicks decreases the chance that someone accidentally (...)   Re: Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

(...) Hi Steve, I put this on the suggestion list. (URL) anybody has serious concerns regarding this suggestion? Leg Godt! Rene (20 years ago, 13-Sep-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Suggestion: streamline highlighting interface

The UI for highlighting a post currently requires 3 mouse clicks -- and is located at the bottom of the message body. If this was changed to a single click, and relocated to the top of the webpage, it would make highlighting just that much easier. (...) (20 years ago, 6-Sep-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
