| | | I haven't been able to connect to LUGNET's nntp server today. I am using Netscape's news client and it just hangs before connecting. I have been using the news server without problems until today. Is something up at LUGNET's end? I tried setting up (...) (23 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

I think it's doing ident lookups... and I think the reason you have to wait 30 secs or so is cause you're dropping the auth packets and not rejecting them... so it's waiting for an answer. if you modified your firewall to reject connections to (...)
