  Re: Getting a password reset?

(...) Well, if you don't find it, please don't hesitate to ask for a new one -- it's not really that complicated for me -- don't worry. --Todd (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Getting a password reset?

(...) There are, I think, two gotchas with this plan 1. There isn't really a concept of a "registered" email address, per se, that is associated with a user. A user can have multiple addresses. For instance, I have 3 listed on my member page: (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Sounds like maybe you should automate it, and have a script-driven requester that takes the address of the user and then automatically sends the password to the registered address of the person. The same way a lot of websites handle forgotten (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  LUGNET membership/password question

It has been over a month now since I received my LUGNET membership activation email and I have not yet received my password. Who should I contact about this? I've sent three messages to memberships@lugnet.com but have not had a response. Tim Lasko (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jun-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Cool. Good thinking, both of you. Now, what can I do about a lost password? The member brochure is filed somewhere and I knew where it was before moving, but now I don't. Sincerely, Christopher Weeks (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

  Member benefits... ?

Hey Todd, In the past few weeks I've seen a couple of new benefits added to members, like password-changing and member pages. The problem is, I was in a hurry when looking at them and didn't pay much attention, and now I can't remember the URLs for (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

(...) I hoped you didn't plan to give a 404 or a blank page, what I was saying is that it would be annoying to be using someone else's page of links (because it's so complete) and always get a "lecture" page until you can convince them to fix it.
