  Re: . market for HTML?

(...) This is a NNTP feed. I do not enjoy it when people mistake a news post for a web page (or IE document, but that is another rant). If people want to do all the glitz, let them make a webpage somewhere and post the link into .market My vote is (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: . market for HTML?

no, if so they have have a page for that and post the link here. This will be useful as it doesn't take more time/bandwith here, and the page remains.... Sonnich Scott A <eh105jb@mx1.pair.com> wrote in message news:GL71oq.MHM@lugnet.com... (...) (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: . market for HTML?

(...) I agree with Chris, not sure I see how turning the market group into a Flashfest helps anyone. The links are there (in well crafted posts), and those interested can click them to learn more. But those just skimming should not pay the heavy (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: . market for HTML?

(...) In what way would the use of HTML help either the buyers or the sellers? You can readily put links in straight text, and browser-based newsreaders will notice them and allow direct clicking on them. Opening up any group to HTML only opens them (...)   . market for HTML?

Most of the threads started in the .market groups are basically advertsiments. Is it time we allowed HTML posts in this group to help buyers *&* sellers? Or are the text only NTTP crowd holding up progress! Scott A (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.brickshops)

  Link update request

Could someone revise the RcxCC version 3.2 link on the lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc page to something like the following: <a href="(URL) Bricx Command Center (formerly known as RcxCC v3.2) </a> Thanks. John Hansen (23 years ago, 12-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: NEW Featured Item at the Yellow Castle Marketplace (week of Oct 8)

(...) Maybe so but that's not what I am currently advocating. And it's not how the charter reads. Once you open a charter discussion, you are open to all charter change suggestions, even ones that take the charter in the opposite direction from your (...)   Re: NEW Featured Item at the Yellow Castle Marketplace (week of Oct 8)

(...) But I thought the whole reason the .brickshops subgroup was created was to eliminate from .bst all of the post like "My Brickbay shop has new parts" or "My Brickbay shop is 10% off" plus all of the discussion posts like you want in (...) (23 years ago, 10-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: NEW Featured Item at the Yellow Castle Marketplace (week of Oct 8)

(...) No, that is not correct. Perhaps I didn't post my mod very clearly ("straight sale" gets expanded explicitly to include third party shops and Cary's prohibition against them is struck) but my intent is that BST, and not .brickshops, is the (...)   Re: NEW Featured Item at the Yellow Castle Marketplace (week of Oct 8)

(...) <snip> (...) So if I am selling a set on my site, I can't post to .bst by both of your modified charters, right? (...) As I read it, my post would be correct under Cary's modified charter, but not under Larry's. Larry's seems to only allow (...) (23 years ago, 10-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)
