(...) [SNIP!] For future use, please be advised that the only newsgroup in which to post auction announcements is ".auction". This is clearly spelled out in the LUGNet "Terms of Service". Thank you, Franklin (25 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.admin.general)

I think we discussed this recently in admin.general, and the consensus is that once the initial post has followups set incorrectly it is very VERY tough to fix later because every single person has to realise there is a problem, (...) Hi Todd, In order to encourage some thought about set design ( by TLG as well as by Lugneters and AFOLS) I was considering posting a few ideas of my own about where TLG/TLC should head in the future. Howevr I wanted to do this in the form of (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Oh -- actually, what search engines typically do on queries (and I just finally added this last week) is downvalue relatively common words and upvalue relatively uncommon words -- what's called "term ranking" or "term weighting."
