Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

(...) No and Yes. No, the code/feature is the same -- it has always (since the new set guide went up a few weeks ago) displayed the "larger" (where available) image when you click the medium-size image. Yes, the 6990 image changed yesterday -- I (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: dead links

I've been thinking about this as well. And I will volunteer my time toward creating either the database or the traditional faq. As it is, I often search the newsgroups for past answers and it is often fruitless, even when the information I seek is (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: dead links

This brings up a question of mine, which there might be an answer for but I am not clear on. Will there ever be a 'LUGNET FAQ' encompassing all of these?? Is there someone or some group of people working on assembling data for that? I'd certainly (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.faq)

Re: LCad Parts Update 2000-02 Now Available

(...) Now that the update is available, will the parts reference on lugnet updated as well? The web reference is a really nice feature ;-) Regards, Hakan (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

(...) Is this new? I'm pretty sure that when I looked at this the other day both the big and small images linked to the same file - the smaller one was only shrunk. I am also 100% sure that the 6990 image changed since yesterday. Scott A (...) etc.) (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

(...) Hey, even a stopped clock is right 2 times a day (only once if you're in the military, there's a moral there somewhere...) Scott's right more often than you think, Shiri. I just usually think he could phrase stuff more smoothly, that's all. If (...) (26 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

(...) Ya, I'm not bothered by it either, and the medium-sized default images aren't necessarily always smaller (most of the time they are, but not always -- it depends on the size of the originating scan). A smaller initial image makes for much (...) (26 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Reducing fussiness in automated password appraisal

(...) Certainly *way* easier to pass. I'd even suggest using level 3. Level 2 passes "c00l!" (just barely). Would it be possible to kick up the relative strength of the dictionary check a bit? (26 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

Actually, Scott, clicking on this: (...) (URL) clicked on "open link in new window" to find out what the link was, BTW). Maybe Todd just found the time to fix it. ;-) (...) Seems like history was made - Scott and Larry aren't disagreeing, if not (...) (26 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

(...) Not sure I'm "bothered" per se but I do agree that I find the images less satisfactory now than before, and the extra steps to get a large image are extra work. ++Lar (26 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

One of the big advantages Brickset has over the LUGNET set guide is the quality of the images. When I use either guide usually I just want a good look at the set to see what parts it contains etc. All the extra information now on the set guide (...)   Reducing fussiness in automated password appraisal

Many people feel that the Member password checks on LUGNET are overly stringent -- that it is too hard to come up with a good password that passes the strength appraisal: (URL) is also comfortable to remember. In anticipation of lowering the (...) (26 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

Re: Is the "traffic" page off-line?

I added some code deep-down for slowing and blocking HTTP accesses from IP addresses which appear to be attempting pw intrusions, and the code there checks the IP address and asserts that it's defined and of the standard (...)   Is the "traffic" page off-line?

When will Lugnet offer XXL, XXXL and XXXXL shirts?

Cafepress.com is now offering shirts in these larger sizes! I was hoping to get a 2X Lugnet shirt, but noticed that we can still only buy the smaller sizes. Todd, when are you going to offer the larger sizes for Lugnet shirts? The Lugnet stores on (...) (26 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Posting question

I posted a message yesterday about a sale at Fred Meyer. I guess I named my posting the same as an earlier posting and it was sent to this previous heading as a response. Why did this happen.
