  Re: jump.cgi

(...) I don't notice any such delay. Maybe you just hit the server at a bad time? (26 years ago, 14-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: jump.cgi

(...) Do you find the delay (I've found it to be quite noticable) to be acceptable? It seems to be adding somewhere between 2-3 seconds onto the process of jumping to the intended URL. Dealing with that once isn't much of an issue, but as I noticed (...) (26 years ago, 14-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: How do I delete duplicates?

(...) Steve, I'm sorry that the preview page is causing you trouble -- it's something I know about and intend to fix by making something that prevents double- posting from the same form. There isn't currently a way to cancel messages via the web (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: jump.cgi

(...) No problems that I'm aware of, no. (...) It's to analyze what links get clicked and from where (which page). It's something that can potentially be reported or tabulated for link listings, etc. (see Patrick Delahanty's site listings[1], for (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  How do I delete duplicates?

Argh - I use the preview and page-back function to ensure my msgs. are OK, and TWICE now I've wound up with the same msgs. posted twice. However, I can find no way to delete my message and clean up this error. I'm less concerned that it's occuring (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  jump.cgi

Todd, What is the purpose of jump.cgi? Was there any problem with external links that prompted this? Or is is simply to track what links get clikced by who and how often? If that data was useful for LUGNET (i.e. helps you raise money etc.) then I (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Memberships- Where to send them?

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) One such example would be the Y-Wing+TIE set featuring Darth Vader on the box cover. It was the only source for that figure for over a year until the figure sets came out. The number of Y-Wing set sold would be greatly reduced if the figure (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) No such decision yet. The DeCSS case is in progress right now, and those of us who care about freedom of speech and the web in general sure hope it'll come down the other way.   Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Some of us just want to know what _is_ acceptable here, so that we are not subject to arbitrary deletions. For example, if I post the URL of where I have 'the list' (hehehe, making it sound evil!), is that a violation of the LUGNET T&C? How (...)
