  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Well said. ~Nick (URL) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Gotta agree with Eric here. And wow, I guess I either need to spend more time reading various groups again or give up entirely. In fact, I'm a little scared after looking at the little dots view of this thread. Most of what I'm seeing are (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Making Lego Movies

(...) I'm assuming we will eventually get a new group called lugnet.studios or lugnet.movies or something. I hope the charter will include general movie making discussions, as well as LEGO Studios Steven Spielberg MovieMaker Set. Maybe we need a (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) LEGO has respectfully requested that the leaked information on this thread be deleted or otherwise removed from view. Since this was a formal request and TLC's privacy rights are in question here, this is a legal issue and I will be deleting (...)   Re: Color pieces of rebel ship sets

(...) Oh! Well then, thank you very much for snuffing my dupe. You got it before I even refreshed the message-list display. Steve (26 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Both work for me Todd! Great job yet again. Thanks. -Nick (26 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Yes and no -- "yes" in that the main www.lugnet.com homepage will be changing dramatically, and "no" in that the first makeover prototype isn't probably what will replace it, but something else. --Todd (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) OK, great! Worked on my Win98+MSIE5 test system too. I'll cut it over to the "real thing." Thanks for your help. --Todd (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Yes, that also works! Thanks. -- David Schilling (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Color pieces of rebel ship sets

(...) Sorta. There *should* be an automatic thingie, but the better thing would be to avoid it in the first place (99% of the duplicate posts come from the web interface, I think) -- hence the idea about the unique ID in the form. Anyway, if I (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) OK, one more thing to try (if you don't mind): (URL) I've moved the JavaScript code to a separate file which gets fetched via the SRC= attribute of the <SCRIPT> tag. This way, each HTML page only needs an extra ~20 characters (as opposed to (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

So who's canceling duplicate posts? Some automatic daemon-thingy? Steve In lugnet.starwars, Steve Bliss posted (twice): (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Todd, I tried it and it fixed my problem. Thanks, Steve (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Double posting.

(...) I assume you mean that when you click "New" or "Reply", a separate window would popup? That would be very cool. (Just a few minutes ago, I realized web-based-reading would be easier to manage if I did a "open in new window" jump to go from the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: posting preview (was: Re: Double the Fun)

(...) DA: would that be a problem/annoyance for really long posts, since the server is basically sending two copies of the posting back to the client? (...) Sounds good, I think. Steve (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

OK, that works fine for me - that means it's probably not to do with the scripting tools that were disabled. Many many thanks Todd!! You are a genius when it comes to working out these little bugs. ;-) Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde Todd Lehman (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Well, I'm about at wit's end here on this one, although possibly I may have found a workaround. Internet Exploit^H^Hrer is generally really great about being compatible with Netscape Navigator, but in this case -- where the server is returning (...)   Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Following up on my own post, Netscape Communicator 4.74 (not 4.4 typo) works fine, standard installation on Windows 98. So this set reference pop-up error would seem to be IE specific (from what's been reported). Deidre (off to enjoy Friday (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) Where I said "Java scripting" I meant JavaScript (and hence JScript being Microsoft's version of it), although Java doesn't give me any grief either (this is as a user, I've never programmed either). In terms of enabling them in IE 5.x I was (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) I tried this with IE 4.72 on win98 and a slightly older version on winnt. Embedded javascript works, but it looks like the window object is not defined in standalone files. John (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
