Something to compare against is the LEGO Outlet stores. Right now,
people list specials available there in shopping. Should the location
change if Buffy started posting instead of an individual? If it
shouldn't change, does that mean that when people list the outlet
specials, they should do so in buy-sell-trade?
I personally would be cool with Baylit using shopping.
The way I see it, the difference between the two groups is timeliness of
information, and ease of purchase. In this scheme, shopping is for
things which are probably available for a longer time, and you can buy
them sort of on your own schedule (subject to the hours of the store),
as opposed to buy-sell-trade where the item will probably be gone by the
time you send an e-mail or go to the web site, and you can't use a
credit card, and your order will be filled when the seller has a chance
to see the order, and get to the Post Office to ship it to you.
The other way I think about it is that if it looks like a duck and
quacks like a duck, it's a duck. To me, DYA is a store. Baylit is close.
Steve Bliss's parts sale of many moons ago is not a store (even though
some of the parts are still available).
