That oughta make some internet users edgy.  I know that there's some kinds of
information that it's politically correct to repress.

It's not repression or censorship any more than it is repression or censorship
not to include rec.toys.lego on the homepage.  Not including the .off-topic
and .admin trees on the homepage is just that -- they're not proactively
included.  It only seems like exclusion because the number of groups shown is
much larger than the number of groups not shown, and because it's easier to
express mathematically and in words as exclusion rather than inclusion.

Nothing like a good old conspiracy theorist.  I'm surprised Larry's not all
over this one... :O)

Larry knows what's coming next.  Larry also understands that the homepage
isn't a newsreader but simply an equation to be optimized for the greatest
overall appeal.

P.S.  From the looks of it then, if there is a hot off topic discussion, all
you'll see is hidden messages.  I don't think that solves anything, but it
does keep certain messages silent for those who don't want to hear them.
Interesting...

That's precisely the problem that it solves.
