It actually does sort all searches by date now -- but the date is only one
of several factors coming into play when ranking the results. Generally,
newer matches sort nearer the top, but a better-yet-older match can certainly
appear before a less-better-yet-newer match.

Parts of the foundation for purely-time-based searches are in place. Just
a SMOP to write a wrapper for an advanced search that takes advantage of
this...maybe something good for a Friday.
