I think this is the wrong way. Trying to enforce policy like this with
automation is going to fail in someway. The obvious is that someone
quotes some *other thread* in his/her message, and then get's it chopped
because the script thinks it's just a "me-too" style post.
I think the repeat offenders should be talked to. We are a community,
with all the plusses and minuses that entails. I'd rather take the bad
than miss the good.
On the flip-side, if we are going to enforce via scripts things that irk
people, then I say if an email address doesn't resolve, then they
shouldn't be allowed to post (eg "foo@bar.pleasedontspam.com").
But that's just the quirks of personality that make me who I am.
