Todd: Would it make sense (and not be too hard) to prevent people from including trailing (and thus uncommented) quotations? I would implement it by checking if the last non-empty line starts with a quotation marker (>). Play well, Jacob ---...--- (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Jacob: (...) mention that there were a few miscreant newsreaders or mailers out there which wouldn't let people post the right way? (...) I think this is the wrong way. Trying to enforce policy like this with automation is going to fail in someway. The obvious is that someone quotes some *other thread* in his/her message, and then get's it chopped because the script thinks it's (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
