  Re: Worst of the worst

(...) What about making the server reject any new posts to a thread, either through the web or NNTP? It again wouldn't be the most elegant solution, but I'd imagine it would be doable. (...) I think the easiest way would be adding some negative (...) (18 years ago, 15-Aug-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Worst of the worst

(...) Okay, here's the big issue: LUGNET is based on an NNTP server, and the news system does not support such a thing as thread locking, since threads are only made up by matching subjects (and some header info) in the very first place. Would an admin please either: 1) ban these folks who want to make their personal squabbles (on other boards!) public here? OR 2) at least remove this thread from the front page spotlight? Eric, get a clue! You brought this round back to lugnet yourself. A smarter man would either laugh and ignore the insult or do some kind of damage control.   Set 10177 Mystery

A couple of things confuse me about the entry for set 10177. First, why is there a link on the Guide page to an image (instead of the "Picture not available" box), but following that link ( (URL) leads to no image? Second, why isn't this set in the (...)   Bug fix for disappearing backslash (was: Re: Disappearing backslash?)

(...) Hmm, that *is* weird. This isn't actually a PML thing, though, but an FTX thing. The FTX-to-HTML converter runs as a seperate self-contained module; all PML parsing occurs prior to the FTX-to-HTML conversion. The backslash in FTX was intended (...)
