I'm slightly an expert, and generally, things like this don't go off right on their expiration date -- it's to the registrar's benefit to hold on to it a little while because it's better for you to renew with them than for the domain to go (...) But the nameserver caches were all working fine, till yesterday, that's how things work, the flush order doesn't go out till a week after the expiry. Also, there are a lot of people that use (...) (...) Todd, I checked internic's whois database when Lugnet was down, and it had an expiry date of 17 jan 2005. It has since been updated, but I'd definitely query Network Solutions about this. (URL) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

My apologies to everyone who was unable to reach the server for the better part of the past day. I had thought the lugnet.com domain had been renewed through 2005, but it actually was up for renewal this year, with expiry on January 18. (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jan-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.announce) !!
