  Re: Database Piece Count

(...) how about just have it autopost to the admin.db newsgroup? that way it's on record, anyone can see what's been submitted, etc...? (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: something odd about the links here

(...) looks like it to me... once I try it without the v=n, it does work ok... doh! (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

something odd about the links here

Go to this page ... (URL) note the links under the piece count ("Lego", "Studios", and "?"). Try clicking on one of them. I think its trying to take me to notes about the generic category (e.g. "Studios") where no such page exists. I think the "v=n" (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Database Piece Count

(...) I agree, such a form will definitely generate more input, since it'll be easier for people to submit data. Maybe make it a "member only" feature, that way we can be sure where it came from... Of course, I wouldn't want the updates to be done (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Database Piece Count

(...) I propose that a "submission form" be created for data to be added to the Guide. I hold no guilt over suggesting this because I am blissfully unaware of the work that would be involved ;] There are a lot of times I'm foraging around in the (...)   Re: new train cars, MOT or 9V cars

In lugnet.trains, Frank Filz writes: <snip> Agreed. The current organization was done by a non trainhead, IMHO. I made some suggestions in the past on this topic as well. (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.trains)

Re: new train cars, MOT or 9V cars

(...) I'd very much like it if the train portion of the database were modified to be more generally usefull. My organization would be something like: trains - push - engines (includes MOT) - train sets - 4.5v - engines - sets - accessories - 12v - (...)   Re: new train cars, MOT or 9V cars

(...) Even though it plainly states "My Own Train" on the box? Perhaps they intend it to be a whole train that you customize, not just the engine. "I'll take a large blue engine, blue tender, 6 hopper cars and a caboose please" (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: new train cars, MOT or 9V cars

(...) I think the MOT's are only classified as the train locomotives that you can decide the colors of. The train cars are MOT cars, but only one color. Josh (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.trains)

Re: new train cars, MOT or 9V cars

Yeah, I noticed that when they arrived... I'm leaning towards the My Own Train, myself, since that's what it actually says on the box. (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

new train cars, MOT or 9V cars

Hi, Not to be nitpicking but I was wondering if the new train cars (caboose etc.) should be located under LEGO > SYSTEM > Trains > 9v > My Own Train instead of LEGO > SYSTEM > Trains > 9v > Train Cars (where they are now) The box-art clearly (...)   Set 5059: Castle Accessories

Set 5059: Castle Accessories is listed in the Lugnet database as having a release date of 1989. I don't know what the date for that pack is, but it isn't 1989. 5059 includes Black Knights, Wolfpack, and Dragon Master items from 1992-3. Moreover, my (...)   Re: Database Piece Count

(...) True. However, we do not have the piece count for those sets. We need someone who owns the set, or a catalog that mentions it, to tell us what the piece count is... we'd love to update the database, just give us the data :) (...) Personally, (...)   Database Piece Count

I like how LugNet keeps an inventory of all my sets that I purchase (by me entering in the information), because it's cool to see how many bricks you own. But there are a lot of sets that are in the database but do not have a piece count. Can (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: adding minitalia to set ref
