  Re: admin change

(...) It works in large for Usenet, so it should work for LUGNET too... don't see any big problems with it. Perhaps build in a safety check in the web interface ("do you *REALLY* wish to delete this post" or some similair nonsense ;) ) -- Jan-Albert (...) <<snip>> (...) I can do this on GMT-time if the requests are posted to either a SPAM-free e-mail adress (yeah, right) or a newsgroup (don't know how this works since I have not needed it myself - *knock on wood*). <<snip>> (...)   Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

(...) Thanks for the heads up but this probably is better suited to email to cut down on traffic in the list. (I was just scrolling back through admin.curators looking for curator requests that might have been missed. It's a hard slog since someone (...) (21 years ago, 1-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

(...) Oh blather... I made you curator of lugnet.lugnet.org... I wish Lugnet could make up it's mind whether the leading lugnet is necessary or not... Try it now... Incidentally, you can check who is curator of what here (note that none of these (...) (21 years ago, 1-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

(...) Posted too soon ... I went to lugnet.org, and didn't see the 'edit this page' button at the bottom of the sidebar. Refreshed the page, nothing. Logged out and back in, nothing. Refreshed again, nothing. I'm headed out for a couple hours, but (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

(...) Thanks Tim for stepping up to the plate. Larry and Todd have done a good job of telling all what's going on, so I'll just add that I'm glad to be of service to the community in this way. Frank (21 years ago, 30-Sep-03, to lugnet.org, lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

  Curator for build.mosaic?

I'd like to volumteer if there isn't one yet. I've been trying to keep up with the tools and tricks and contributions to the art for the last year and managing the sidebar seems like a good way to keep things centralized and readily available to (...)   Curator change requests

Hi all, I've been itching to tell you all this for some time now... Frank Filz and myself are now able to add and remove curatorships to groups. (we've both tested the interface to do it, and it works fine) Pursuant to this announcement: (URL) start (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Curator for lugnet.org?

Is there a curator for lugnet.org? If there isn't, I would like to become curator for this group. If there is, I'm very interested in helping out and would be delighted with a co-curatorship. I think the sidebar could be really spruced up with links (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-03, to lugnet.org, lugnet.admin.curators)

  FTX functions?

Hi admins, Is there somewhere a comprehensive list of available FTX functions which can be used in sidebars, e.g. NewsSpotlight & LEGOSet? Thanks ROSCO (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

Re: Curation of the Legoland Windsor group

(...) Hey! That sounds great. I am the curator of the legoland.california group and am having a blast with it. I really do wish there was more traffic in the other Legoland sections - I would love to know whats going on over in the other parks to (...)   Curation of the Legoland Windsor group

Dear all, It just came to light through discussions amongst us in the UK that the sidebar for the legoland.windsor group is a tad out of date - most importantly that LLW has changed the rules for the discount entry for this year. The file for the (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jun-03, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.legoland.windsor)

  Re: A Change

(...) Awwww, but it'd be extreamly difficult for Todd to acknowledge every post sent in his direction! I understand exactly what you're asking Bill, but to hope/expect that Todd will comply and answer is a bit much to ask IMHO! :) --==Richard==-- (21 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.people, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.curators)

If you are a paid member, you can post all you like using the web interface without email authentication. Only NNTP/email users require the email authentication if they are paid members. --Bill. (...) Please note that it is impossible for us to know whether you have seen a post and are pondering it, or whether you missed it.   Re: A Change

(...) Well, do you think "to be heard" is the same as "to get a response"? 'Cause it's not. There's often a lot of perfectly good reasons for there to be a lag between the two.   Re: A Change
