  Re: Official vs. unofficial LEGO postings

(...) Yes indeed. Of course it doesn't work 100% reliably (1), leaves no trace, and provides no opportunity for anyone else to comment, offer workarounds, etc. where that would be a helpful thing to do. Seriously... this blocking of posts to .admin (...) (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.nntp)

If the sender chooses not to delete the recipient's name before sending the message, and if the recipient receives the group to which the message is posted via e-mail rather than via news, then yes, they'll receive the same reply twice.   Re: New feature: Article rating

cool! I also like where it says "you just rated this message" and "2 minutes ago you rated this message" :) now, what about putting an X-message-rating in the outgoing mail/news so we can see the rating of messages in our newsreaders/mail? Shouldn't (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Message date anomoly?

(...) Hmmm, I don't recall ever seeing this happen before either, but I'll bet it happens a lot (or at least more often than we notice). Here's what the logs say happened: John posted the message on June 7 using the web interface. He wasn't signed (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jun-03, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: Web interface cancels (was Re: Let's define what an auction announcement/update is)

(...) Ug, that's kinda gross. I think the cleanest way is what someone suggested earlier: When you request that a post be cancelled, the server simply send a confirmation e-mail to the person who posted the message. If they get the e-mail, it proves (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: LUGNET Memberships

  Re: Message-ID -> Article number

This means that the LUGNET articles get a different article number on my local news spool. So (...) (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  x-http header?
