a carefully designed conspiracy with the sole purpose of annoying lego collectors (and the pleasant side effect of droping the price of jail doors). hope that explains everything. please note the jail doors have NOTHING to do with playability or (...) I don't know if anyone else has asked this in the past, but I was curious if anyone has an explanation as to why LEGO seem to add prison/jails to such a large percentage of lego sets? Any ideas? Anyways, to your question, it probably is due to the fact that they are encouraging non-violence by giving kids the option to take prisoners instead of having to execute everyone. :-) (...) (...) The jails are a nice way to add playability. It allows opposing sides and stories to be easily integrated. For town its a different story, you have to have alot of jails so all those policemen/women have a place to put all the people. And (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.general)

What I really want to know is why on earth the jail doors are 7 bricks high, and not 6? It makes it very difficult to incorporate them into any kind of building that uses the 6 high wall sections.
