  Re: Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

(...) I can come at this with a slightly more, uh, "unique" case: I build ships, with walls generally 8-14 bricks high and straight runs of 100-300 studs. I can't even dream of using 1xn unless I plan my subdivisions specifically to buttress (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: A Knights Tale (Trebuchets)

About 5 months ago we had this entire discussion. I believe it was Anthony Sava who was nice enough to provide the PBS NOVA website: Here it is… all about Trebs and the medieval period. (URL) --==Richard==-- (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  A Knights Tale

Okay Castle junkies, If you have a chance to go and see a movie, I recommend this one. Knights Tale is witty, silly and absolutly entertaining. It has given me some great ideas for castle construction and stories also. I will soon be posting pics of (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Well, I got brave and made a trebuchet yesterday. It will launch a 2x2 brick about 8ft. And the weight box is filled with old 30pin simms. (URL) (under the military section) or (URL) David "Scooter" Lukens O- dml6@po.cwru.edu KC8AGZ - Technician (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MEETING (& med. Brikwars)

(...) I think this should work for me. I have to check though. (...) How about a meeting on the 25th where we can "score" our Brikwars soldiers and equipment. I am ok with next week for a meeting but I thought the 25th would give more time to build (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

6085 Black Monarch's Castle compared with 6091 King Leo's Castle

I just finished building the 6085 Black Monarch's Castle and I was most impressed. This is an older set (1988) that I got on ebay and was definitely worth getting. I'm surprised it doesn't get more rave reviews in the notes on lugnet: (URL) also (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) A gravity-powered catapult is called a trebuchet.
