  Re: A Knights Tale (Trebuchets)

(...) Great minds think alike. I got the yen to build a castle scale trebuchet and finished it about 3 weeks ago. Took just 4 hours to build, but then took another week trying out all the variables to "optimize" the treb. One thing though, I did (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Ok.. I'll try to go see it... and as long as you mentioned it... Has anyone built a working Trebuchet out of lego, in Castle scale... not large scale.. I'm going to attempt it this weekend, though I'm just wondering if there are any pics out there (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

About 5 months ago we had this entire discussion. I believe it was Anthony Sava who was nice enough to provide the PBS NOVA website: Here it is… all about Trebs and the medieval period. (URL) --==Richard==-- (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  A Knights Tale

Okay Castle junkies, If you have a chance to go and see a movie, I recommend this one. Knights Tale is witty, silly and absolutly entertaining. It has given me some great ideas for castle construction and stories also. I will soon be posting pics of (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

(...) I can come at this with a slightly more, uh, "unique" case: I build ships, with walls generally 8-14 bricks high and straight runs of 100-300 studs. I can't even dream of using 1xn unless I plan my subdivisions specifically to buttress (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)

Well, I think the Briktorians will reclaim that title...the snipers are back to practicing on flame-thrower Jar-Jars...and you know what that means for poor defenceless medics/engineers :) As to the entire mobilization idea...they're looking (...)   Re: LEGO Cool Kids - looking for innovative kids

Howdy, I sent this to Dan, but thought to share it with the group. There is a group of kids I work with who are all incredible people! Nolan, who is diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome and who creates some amazing stuff with LEGO and enjoys making 3D (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

  Student Nomination for Lego Media

Howdy, This is a reply to LEGO Media's call for interesting and innovating students of LEGO. I thought to share here as well, as this is the kind of student I would like to see our classrooms produce. There is a group of kids I work with who are all (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.edu)

In lugnet.castle, Ed T. Toton III writes: <snip> (...) I agree, in general. In fact, your ideas are remarkably similar to some thoughts I had a few weeks ago, so I'll toss in mine too: A basic underlying precept I have is my belief that, if Lego (...)
