  Re: mold variant: turntable 4 x 4

(...) Those old 2x8 bricks happen to be Samsonite Lego (USA/Canada) bricks made between 1964-70. For some reason the quality of the Samsonite molds was worse than those of European Lego. Many of the Samsonite Lego molds of the 1960's had re-stamped (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

SWEEEEEEETTTTT!!!! I'd better start saving now so I can afford the ten I'm gonna buy. Ok, so probably only two...or one. But I'll still buy one. It'll be nice to have a bunch of regular bricks in a rare color. -Stefan- (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Yay for Pick-a-Brick

The LEGO store sells fifty 1x4 bricks in the most common colors for $6. Whereas yesterday I went to the Orlando LIC PaB and, for $13, stuffed a tumbler full of: 240 1x4 orange bricks 57 1x2 sand green bricks 35 1x2 steel blue bricks 27 1x4 grey (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego)

I guess I'm thinking about this differently. It's not that the individual studs on the brick don't allow other mating angles. (IE you can place a 1 x 6 technic plate with rounded ends on any single stud at some funcky angles) It's the combination of (...)
