  Combining 2x4 bricks
 
Hi everybody! I was idly flipping through my copy of The Ultimate LEGO book the other day and I noticed a little bit of trivia on page 8. It says that two 2x4 bricks can be combined in 24 ways, three bricks: 1060 ways, and six bricks: 102,981,500 (...) (24 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

This is where 8-wide crowd wins out again. Commenting on your stud forward nose. I think it looks better than 2x2 1/4 curve (aka macaroni bricks?) bricks becase there are no gaps in your design. A macaroni brick desing would have unsightly (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

I completely agree that bricks have there own place and can be very useful, but I do believe the style of rounded beams and liftarms are a better means for technical modeling then the Technic brick. Ooops, I forgot clear bricks (Ben Rochow reminded me). See below. Gary Istok (...) Clear - Only the regular clear bricks were produced. The CA clear bricks have a yellow hue to them (probably yellowed over the years). Warping is common. The ABS (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

I've made a few LED 'bricks, and am about to make some more like "Flashing towers" with some of the ??name?? tapered cones and transparent small round tops. 330 Ohms is my pick; plenty bright at about 20 Ma for most LEDs and dims nicely with "Set (...)   FS: Rubber LEGO Bricks!
 
These things are too cool! Genuine LEGO Rubber 2x4 bricks make great grippers for Technic or Mindstorm creations (they can also be used as pencil erasers). yes, those will do. Many bricks are needed inside to create a lattice type sructure to support what-have-you above. Dozens upon dozens (100's ?) of those freestyle rounded-face 2x4's are hidden inside many of our tables:-) We gotta get you to one of (...) Well, no work for us this weekend. We are packing up the kids and driving over the river and thru the woods to Grandmothers house we go. Actually it is 8 hours over the plains of Kansas and Nebraska.
