Re: Yellow Low Sloped Corner Bricks?

(...) Right, gotcha. Sorry for the confusion. I agree with you, the name "gable end" for that piece is confusing. What's better? 1x2 hip roof end? 1x2 half pyramid? Or the LDRAW name, Slope Brick 45 1 x 2 Triple? I don't know. John C. ps. To muddy (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you separate old vs. new LEGO?

Gary Istok wrote (...) Yes, especially since I wasn't that careful in taking care of my Lego as a child, so it is noticeably scratched up. I do this for the exact same reason, when I build something I want it to look clean and consistent, and those (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Piece sorting (was: building exhaustion)

lots of interesting ideas here : ) here is the system I developed recently and its works for me. it goes thru a couple of stages.   Re: The History of LEGO Plates - Part 1.

Ooops, I forgot clear bricks (Ben Rochow reminded me). See below. Gary Istok (...) Clear - Only the regular clear bricks were produced. The CA clear bricks have a yellow hue to them (probably yellowed over the years). Warping is common. The ABS (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Bulk Lego bricks

I have seen numerous auction listings for bulk bricks and was wondering if there was a demand for bulk sales in (nearly) unlimited quantities. I am considering purchasing A LOT of tubs and parting them out. I would keep the less popular colors and (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  How to reapply stickers?

Hi. I have a few old stickers (from 7722 and 7725 to be precise) which are either on the wrong brick or have (apparently) been applied once and stuck back on the sticker sheet.   Question about classic ESSO Service Station

I have a few questions for our European and early Samsonite collectors about the late 50's - early 60's ESSO Service Station #310 produced in Europe only I believe.
