  Re: Heads up, Cloneophiles

Hello John, (...) I stand with some of the other respondents; cool themes, interesting solutions (elements) for building. There is one thing that others who have responded haven't addressed, that the other block companies are just as ridged in their (...)   Re: Heads up, Cloneophiles

(...) LEGO is of superior quality only as it pertains to the actual plastic stock, and this is becoming less true with each passing year. The main reason that I buy clones is because of the set designs and the alternative part inventories. (...) (...) (17 years ago, 29-Oct-07, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: The Last Supper - Leonardo Da Vinci Style

Even in my earlier two versions of The Last Supper, I had noticed those four tall, dark rectangles along the side walls in Da Vinci's original and sought to create something like them even though I wasn't sure what they (...)   Re: Scaling up Sculpture

(...) The folks at Legoland usually just scale models exactly. So each brick becomes 3 bricks high, each plate becomes 1 brick high, and each stud becomes a 3x3 square of studs.   Re: News from California

(...) Joe- Thanks for your kind thoughts. The "excitement" for us was Sunday night when the fire started around 18:00 and built very quickly.   Re: Weren't we all expecting this??

(...) Don't get too overjoyed. Since Lego does not make the bricks, never did make the plastic, who know were it is made. China comes to mind. And if it is like other toys and cat and dog food we may see more on this, Hopefully Lego has been (...) (17 years ago, 19-Oct-07, to lugnet.general)

  Scaling up Sculpture

Does anybody have experience scaling up a sculpture? I have a MLCad model of Yoda- the Target exclusive. I'd like to build that at 3x scale. I can see how to do it- but I'd appreciate any practical advice. As for parts- I'm sorting those out now. I (...) (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
