As for parts- I'm sorting those out now. I had this big angel sculpture- about
10k white bricks. I took it apart soon after completion, for space reasons. Now
I'm sorting out 5 big tubs of white bricks. Sigh. At least it's not black

The folks at Legoland usually just scale models exactly.  So each brick becomes
3 bricks high, each plate becomes 1 brick high, and each stud becomes a 3x3
square of studs.  The end result will be just as blocky as the original, so it
will be very obviously Lego.

(...) Does this mean that if there is a 1x1 brick you would need to make it 3x3x3? A 2x4 brick would be 6x12? I have often wondered about this as I have heard that Lego builders do this. So if you have a 1x2 half overhanging without support on the (...) (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
