Living in Cardiff we have TRU and The Entertainer, nothing else, it seems that independent (or toymaster) shops are nonexistant around here. All the latest sets, nothing else Cornwall on the other hand was really great, all the local toyshops had (...) (23 years ago, 17-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.uk)

really bizarre I made a similar shield about 2 days ago, but used a LEGO screwdriver to provide the handgrip. The pint of the screwdriver is a little lower than the shield point, but it looks cool. the other ting I considered doing was using the (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.castle)

A child will play 'war' using sticks as guns even if LEGO made only standard bricks, children would make weapons out of them. children do that sort of thing, its in there nature. I did it many of you did it, its part of creative play. It dosen't (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

The eagle emblem is the design off the foam shield. I took a photo and traced it in fireworks. Did anyone see they had a feature on the Big Breakfast here in the UK this morning where they were rating this Christmas' hot toys in a gladitorial style. tie em in a pillowcase and put it on a 40 degree wash. LEGO boxes used to have the 40 degree wash symbol on em' if they are just dusty a nice rub with a toothbrush does wonders. If you wet a dusty brick and then try and clean it its a lot more (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.general)

Hurrah - I totally agree if one piece should be brought back this is it. unfortunately what people seem to have forgotten is that the visors on the knights in the yellow castle have probably also gone and they are kinda integral to the feel of the (...)
