Re: Rebirth of Cool LEGO Site of the Week

In lugnet.admin.suggestions, Jeremy Scott writes: See my comments throughout. (...) Agreed :) (...) The same goes for me, CLSotW was one of the things that brought me to LUGNET and back to LEGO.   Re: downloading the pcode during assembly

The HB is supposed to be in special test mode, see (URL) . Re your downloading problems, first, see the debug info at (URL) the Windows serial debug test there, make sure that the serial signals are getting from the HB's RJ11 connector to the 68HC11 (...)   RE: Sound

If all you want to know is the output then the RCX will display that - using the View button to show the sensor input you're interested in. If you want to play pretty noises the only alternative I can think of (and this is ugly) is along the lines (...) (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

LEGOFan.net - central community run hub for all areas of the LEGO community.

Hi everyone, For some time now, a group of us have been discussing the concept of a LEGO site that the community could truly call its own-- community owned, designed, and operated. To this end, we have been endeavoring for more than half a year to (...)   Problem to send long messages from RCX to PC via com Hack

Hi, Once again i am back about RCX and BT-Connection. Receiving messages from the PC via BT to the RCX is OK. But if I send messages from the RCX to the PC with 4800 Baud i get only 4 Bytes. So I go back to 2400 Baud, forget BT and make a serial (...) (16 years ago, 10-Jun-08, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

No Spoilers here! I too wanted this to be the Film of the Decade, but after viewing it in the flickering dark, all I can say for sure is "Now we had better have it again." the military approached us with an order for a fast, light, maneuverable, heavy-hitting artillery unit. our first impulse was to build a mounted gun, like the Diomedes, and put a very large engine in it. we soon realised that that would not fulfill (...)   Re: Do it yourself light sensors. How does RCX drive them?

(...) You are correct, in that the diode in the 'loop' when driving using the normal op-amp output into a resistor technique, imposes a problem, but this is not that significant over the centre of the output range, so most designs tend to ignore (...) (...) Well, there were a couple of typos, but only one I found that was critical. If you are using a "max-picking LIDAR" method, you do *not* want to divide by the number of samples.
