  Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms

(...) Okay, we'll do it. We can have a meeting at the store some Sunday night in November after we close the store. We were thinking November 15th 7:00-9:00. How's that sound? Nothing fancy, bring your robot, chat a bit, hows your mum? -- that sort (...) (26 years ago, 13-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Dutch promo: sets at Super de Boer

Hello all, When I went to the supermarket this afternoon, I saw a display for a new promo campaign with ten small LEGO sets. This was a campaign by a dutch supermarket "Super de Boer", which I think is similar like the Shell Promo. I haven't much (...) (26 years ago, 13-Oct-98, to lugnet.announce)

  Re: Ldlite 1.0

(...) How'd you get ldlite to show different views? Do you need to use LDAO or just run it from a command line? Seems like a nice addition would be the choice of view from a pull down menu. Thanks for this great program! 8) Ben buster@verinet.com (...) (26 years ago, 13-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

  Anyone in KC?

Hello to all Kansas City Legomaniacs. Let's gather names of who is out here, what themes you primarily collect, and what sort of information would be helpful to post.   Strategy/algorithm for Followup-To field in non-discussion groups

How does this sound for a Followup-To strategy/algotithm?-- We designate a set of groups as being "non-discussion" groups -- currently just lugnet.announce and, if it is created, lugnet.cad.dat.   Re: Themes

As I said before, I collect Town, Space and Technic sets. Anything set in the 20th century or later. I usually build Space items with Town items thrown in less often.   Re: pneumatics & mindstorms?

(...) A single pneumatic cylinder will break a 16-beam in half fairly readily. My (big) truck crane boom weighed about 4lbs, mith a center of mass about 18" from the bottom, and 3 cylinders could lift that when perched about 5" from the pivot. So, (...)
