Re: One angry man's complaint about the "MOC highlight"

(...) Or Frank. (...) I hope you don't do that! I think it's really neat how .space has so many co-curators... Keith just likes to push buttons but unlike some, I think he isn't doing it because he doesn't like the button-push-ee, it's just his way (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: An Idea for Brickfest? Feedback appreciated

(...) Um, sorry if what I said didn't quite come out right! I was citing trains merely to show that the idea of lights is not unheard of, and that it works well. NOT trying to suggest that this idea be inclusive. I agree, stick to space this year. (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) I agree. Model Railroads in the dark are often fun too if they have a lot of interior lights and stuff. Xposted to .events.brickfest and .space with FUT to .events.brickfest, (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

(...) I should note, that site's content seems cribbed from the Wikipedia article on the same topic. I noticed that when I found ANOTHER site that had very similar phrasing and decided to look up (URL) Space Elevator> in the Wikipedia. Further, if (...) (...) That would be cool if it comes off. Color me skeptical for now. Space Elevators are an idea that has been around since forever, and if you have the materials strength to do it, they offer the cheapest way per pound of any technology devised. (...)   password management

It's time to revamp how I manage my passwords. I have a scheme now for generating different passwords for different sites but there are just too many.   Re: Vote to unhighlight?

(...) Thanks for the elaboration, Steve. LUGNET DID have such a system, and it was not uniformly positively received. This has been alluded to in other replies as well.
