Re: Know any sales on Mindstorms?

(...) It's not a coupon per se. It's "brain aerobics" :-) Go here: (URL) the quiz, print out the page, bring it in and a salesperson verifies it's the right answer. Then you get 20% off any one item. (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Marsbase is fixed.

(...) I found Marsbase to be a lot of fun. I especially liked the mail exchange between you and Pallas Spaceworks. Very authentically red-tapeish. Nice job! However I would like to suggest that the detailed discussions of how to get things to work (...) (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Know any sales on Mindstorms?

(...) Oh, I forgot to add... this is the same quiz that's been there for a very long TIME, so if you were WATCHing carefully, you'd remember the answer. (for the clue impaired: those were clues to the answer too.) (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) Just as a note, I have enough of the gears and such from 8437, but would be willing to buy a partial 8437 from folks after they raided one for the parts they needed. MacFrugals had these at 1/2 off for a while. I got 3, sold one off and parted (...) (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

(...) Yes. I was powering the RCX from the train speed controller wall wart. (...) Dunno. It did not seem to. I would not use multiple train motors as a load, though. (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOC Engine: DB V140

(...) Wow. Any flaws I could mention would only detract from a magnificent model. But you know me, here they are. :-) Every single one of these is due to a limitation of the media. 1. The drive wheels are too small. But this just points out (...) (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)
