  Re: Announcing new Legend!

(...) Exactly. (and Paulo, I didn't miss your point, read on to see why) To be 9V complete, you have to have BOTH of the stations I cited... despite being the same design, they are a LOT different. Further, to be 9V complete you have to have BOTH (...) (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  BrickShelf having issues?

Going in via the normal www.brickshelf.com url gives (after some delay) nothing.. just a blank screen or a 404. Going in via Asphodel.org/bsv gives a nifty error message... after some delay. (er, well, it WAS giving a nifty error message, now it (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: More pictures!

(...) Perhaps. But to me it's not about absolute number of pieces, it's about build time per model. A good train model can take a lot of time. (Time does NOT equal pieces). My mountain has 25x as many pieces as my combine model but took me a lot (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

(...) Some clubs have members that do make very nice custom trains and that do spend a fair bit of time at it. And some clubs go with more stock rolling stock, or customs that don't show nearly as much flair. It's a personal preference thing (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

Ran across this article trolling for info about the Google IPO, if you can believe it. I can't comment on the accuracy(1) but I did find it interesting.   Re: Color Change - Final Update

(...) Yes! The 6 packs that were done for us recently used up 6 SKUs. We've been told in the past that there's an SKU shortage. Bulk tubs use up a LOT less SKUs than their equivalent in service packs, ne? Run off 2 or 3 bulk tubs with a decent (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Color Change - SLOPES WANTED

(...) Good catch! I agree, a well rounded pack including concave and convex corners and caps, in each of the popular slope factors (33, 45, 75), and another one with the basic slopes themselves, would be well received. (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
