RIS 2.0 on clearance at Target

Stopped at my local Target yesterday. Checked the LEGO aisle (of course!), and saw the Robotics Invention System 2.0 set on clearance for $99.99, 50% off the regular price. Has anyone else noticed this? I've only checked the one store, so I don't (...) (22 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: The NGLTC LEGO collection just got bigger.....

(...) Wow! It is *so* unusual that LEGO would allow one of their sculptures to fall into "civilian" hands. Usually once a model has outlived its lifespan, they're ground up into tiny bits. It's great to see some models given a 'second chance'! Nice (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Y'know, there's just something about green Lego. This is _really cool_, but I don't think it would have looked as good in, say, classic space colors. Great use of color here, particularly the dark grey that lends an effect similar to modern (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: On teasers and previews ...

(...) I enjoy seeing the teasers. If I'm busy, I may pass them up. On the other hand, when I'm busy a teaser can also be nice since it's just one or two pictures which get my imagination going. (...) Thanks for the praise, though to be somewhat (...) (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle)

Without a new deadline, I've slacked off on construction quite a bit. I'm going to try to finish up by April Fools' Day. Yeah, right :-) I've included a teaser pic in the latest entry of the construction notes... (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

In fact, I was so impressed that I gave up working on my own (I had started working on one just before you posted your first teaser pics) and since mine didn't look as good, I started working on a couple of other projects instead.
