Re: Are you going to try out?

(...) Can you promise a living wage to the person that wins it? Not that I think I could ever win it - I build well, but I don't build *quickly*. Probably 99% of the people here on LUGNET think it would be a dream job, but unfortunately reality (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: LEGOLAND® MASTER MODEL BUILDER SEARCH

(...) When I worked at the Imagination Center at the Mall of America, people would always say that the model builders must make "a fortune" for building the big displays. I always said 'no, they don't make *that* much'. People would ask why, I'd say (...) (21 years ago, 3-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: 10 pieces, in a way I never expected them to connect

(...) That makes me laugh, because the first thing I thought of when the pieces went together was near the opposite end of the technological spectrum - the paddlewheel on a steamship... :-) JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 2-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)

10 pieces, in a way I never expected them to connect

Yep - only 10 pieces, but they just work together. This was one of those 'happy accidents' that happen when you've got just a few different pieces to play with (after sorting out a bunch of sets).
